There are so very many Advice-Givers - many whom I would describe as Gurus - these days, aren't there? Especially now that Podcasting and YouTubing are the rage, and "Everyone has a Microphone", surely - for the princely sum of as little as $30. And since the earlier advent of radio and TV and the Silver Screen (film),of course, too. But who indeed has something truly outstanding to say? Do way too many believe they are putting out "Great American Novels" - out of Wishful Thinking? And if these Creators are rather photogenic -physique-wise - or youthful - or charismatic, might we all too often find ourselves swept up in their Aura, in a rather desperate attempt to solve our problems in almost no time at all? Rather like ingesting a pill and expecting profound results in five minutes? Or like going out and buying a book based on how impressive its book cover is? Indeed, a number of show hosts have suffered considerably, earlier in life - from what is so often called abuse - and did indeed conquer some of their traumas or "inherited" Misbeliefs - now often referred to as Limiting Beliefs, or Cognitive Distortions in their Core Beliefs. But did they only get "half-way" in conquering their "Issues" and then found Money and Fame and various Distractive Toys, and then simply found themselves in a new Comfort Zone, growing no more? And so, I have brought up some ideas in this video, on traits - or the absence of these - that I have spotted in Advice-Givers, which help me - and that I hope might just help you, too - to better discern who really is going to be worthwhile spending our time and energies on....
